PowerPoint 2003 - Misc

Prompt for File Properties Automatically On Save

SUMMARY: Force Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 to prompt you for subject, author, category and other file information whenever you save presentations.Bookmark and Share

Click "File" - "Properties" when editing a Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 document and you can see the document title, subject, author, category, and keywords, among other information. However, most of this information is only available if the author remembered or decided to enter such information.

As it can be easy to forget to key this descriptive text, you can cause Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 to automatically ask for such information whenever you save a presentation. To enable this feature:

1. Select "Tools" - "Options".
2. When the "Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "Save" tab.
3. Underneath "Save options", check "Prompt for file properties".
4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
