PowerPoint 2003 - Misc

Change the Default Save Location

SUMMARY: Save your Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 files to a presentation folder on your hard drive by default.

By default, when you first save Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 presentations, Windows shows your "My Documents" folder. While many people like saving documents in this easy-to-access folder, some people have other folders setup on their computer for saving documents and presentations. Thus, to use this folder instead of the "My Documents" folder:

1. Click "Tools" - "Options".

2. When the "Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "Save" tab.

3. Underneath "Default file location", enter in the folder where you want to save presentations by default. Unfortunately there is no "Browse" button, so enter this folder name carefully!

4. When done, click "OK" to close the dialog box.
