If you need to line-up text, pictures, charts, and photos perfectly in a Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 presentation, the following tips may help.

1. First, show the ruler. Click "View" - "Ruler".

2. Now, show some guides to help you align items. Click "View" - "Grid and Guides". A dialog box will appear:

1. Keep "Snap objects to grid" checked to force objects to perfectly align to a grid.

2. Check "Snap objects to other objects" if you want to keep objects close together.

3. Click the "Spacing" pull-down to choose the spacing between grid squares.
