PowerPoint 2003 - Misc - Remove Paste Options Button

SUMMARY: Stop showing a clipboard button every time you paste text into a Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 presentation.

Whenever you paste text into a Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 document, a small button looking like a clipboard will appear next to the pasted text. Click this button and you can choose options, which may include:

* When pasting objects with formatting (bold, italic, font size, etc) - whether or not you wish to keep the source formatting

* Use the formatting of the design template instead of the formatting of the original text.

While some people appreciate this ability to change formatting on-the-fly, others may find this button annoying. Thus, to remove the Paste Options button:

1. Click "Tools" - "Options".
2. When the "Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "Edit" tab.
3. Uncheck "Show Paste Options buttons".
4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
