Change Text Alignment SUMMARY: Align text in a Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 presentation to the left, center, or right of a particular text box.
Tired of all your text in a Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 presentation being aligned to the center? Need to align certain text to the left or right instead?
To change the text alignment, click on a text box and then access one of the following options:
* Align text left: Select "Format" - "Alignment" - "Align Left" or press Control+L
* Align text right: Select "Format" - "Alignment" - "Align Right" or press Control+E
* Align text center: Select "Format" - "Alignment" - "Align Center" or press Control+R
* Justify text: Select "Format" - "Alignment" - "Justify".
Note that aligning text only aligns text to the width of the current text box. You may need to alter the width of the text box to make it the full width of the slide to more accurately align text to the left or right (or full). To do so:
1. Click on the border around the text box.
2. Move your cursor to the left side of the text box border. It should change to a double arrow.
3. Click and drag the border to the left border of the slide.
4. Repeat for the right side of the text box border (click and drag it to the right border of the slide).
