SUMMARY: Make text in a particular PowerPoint 2003 box appear single-spaced, double-spaced, or using a custom spacing.
By default, text boxes in a Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 presentation are single-spaced. This means that one line of text directly follows the next. However, in some presentations, you may want to double-space text. Or, you may find it pleasing to fine-tune the number of pixels between lines to perform one and a quarter spacing, 90% spacing, or other options.
1. Click on a text box.
2. Select "Format" - "Line Spacing".
3. You now can adjust the spacing between lines, the spacing before each paragraph in the current text box, and the spacing after each paragraph in the current text box. Although the default pull-downs say "Lines", you can click one of them to select "Points" to further tune line spacing.
4. As you make your adjustments you can click "Preview" to see how they would look in the presentation.
5. When you are finished making your selections, click "OK" to close the dialog box and save your changes, or "Cancel" to close the dialog box, canceling your line spacing changes.

Many thanks. This is the perfect answer. I saw "points" there but didn't realize that it adjusted the spaces between lines.
