SUMMARY: Prevent a PowerPoint 2003 slide show from showing animation to those who don't want to see flying text and charts.
Depending on your intended audience, when playing a slideshow in Microsoft PowerPoint 2003, you may wish to turn off all of the animations. Perhaps some people would fine them distracting, possibly even amateurish.
Instead of editing your entire presentation, removing animations in every frame, you can quickly temporarily turn off animations for the entire show.
1. Select "Slide Show" - "Set Up Show".
2. A "Set Up Show" dialog box will appear.
3. Underneath "Show options", check "Show without animation".
4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
If you wish, press F5 to test the show to ensure animations will not display.
To toggle the animations back on, perform the above steps but check "Show without animation".
Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to PowerPoint 2003 Animations - Temporarily Remove Animation from Slide Shows
