SUMMARY: Change the name Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 stores as the author's name inside presentation files.
By default, Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 presentations are embedded with the name of the presentation's author. You can view this in one of two ways:
1. Load a presentation into PowerPoint 2003. Select "File" - "Properties", then click the "Summary" tab.
2. Hover your mouse pointer over a PowerPoint 2003 presentation in Explorer and the author should appear.
If you would like to change the default author name, do the following:
1. From PowerPoint 2003 select "Tools" - "Options".
2. When the "Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "General" tab.
3. Underneath "User information" type in the desired "Name" and "Initials".
4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
