Microsoft PowerPoint 2003

New Animation Features, Multiple Masters, and Password Protection Not Worki

SUMMARY: Are certain new Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 features not working on a particular machine?

If you happen to be working on a machine running Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 and can't use current features such as newer animation effects, multiple masters, and password protection, perhaps that machine turned such features off.

PowerPoint 2003 lets you turn off certain features of the product to see how slideshows will run if you plan on exporting them to users running earlier versions of PowerPoint. If a machine is accidentally configured like this and you want the features back on, do the following:

1. From PowerPoint 2003 select "Tools" - "Options".

2. When the "Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "Edit" tab.

3. Underneath "Disable new features" uncheck all three boxes.

4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
