PowerPoint 2003 Text Formatting and Fonts - Prevent Microsoft Excel 2003 from Converting Typed URLs to Hyperlinks

SUMMARY: Prevent the automatic URL hyperlinking AutoCorrect feature in Microsoft PowerPoint 2003.

By default, Microsoft Excel 2003 will convert typed URLs into hyperlinks. While some may find this convenient, others would rather the hyperlinks just appear as text inside presentations without the added color, underline, and hyperlink capability. To disable this behavior:

1. Choose "Tools" - "AutoCorrect Options".

2. When the "AutoCorrect" dialog box appears, click the "AutoFormat As You Type" tab.

3. Uncheck "Internet and network paths with hyperlinks".

4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
