SUMMARY: Configure whether or not toolbars in Microsoft PowerPoint 2003 should be spread out or bunched together.
When using Microsoft PowerPoint 2003, depending on your needs, you can display the standard and formatting toolbars bunched up in one row or spread out amongst two. By placing the toolbar buttons in one row you leave more room onscreen to modify your presentation, but not every toolbar button will be visible as it might be if you use two rows.
Note that changing this option may affect other Microsoft Office applications installed on your machine such as Microsoft Word or Microsoft Excel.
1. Click "Tools" - "Customize".
2. The "Customize" multi-tabbed dialog box will appear. Click the "Options" tab.
3. Underneath "Personalized Menus and Toolbars", check or uncheck "Show Standard and Formatting toolbars on two rows" as desired.
4. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to PowerPoint 2003 Menus - Toolbars - Status Bar - Change How Standard and Formatting Toolbars are Shown
