Change Distance Arrow Keys Nudge Objects

SUMMARY: Change the distance by which an object is moved in Publisher 2007 when selecting it and using the arrow keys.Bookmark and Share

When you select an object in Microsoft Publisher 2007 and use the arrow keys, you can nudge the object slightly to the left, right, up, or down. This may prove easier than using the mouse when you only need to move a text box, image, or other object very slightly.

You can change the distance an object is nudged when using the arrow keys by making the following tweak:

1. Select "Tools" - "Options".

2. When the "Options" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "Edit" tab.

3. At the bottom of the dialog box, check "Arrow keys nudge objects by".

4. Next to the checkbox, enter the distance by which you want objects nudged when using the arrow keys.

5. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
