Putty

Full Screen - Kiosk Mode

SUMMARY: Display Putty terminal windows in full-screen (kiosk) mode.

If you wish, you can display your current Putty SSH session in full-screen (kiosk) mode, hiding all menu bars as well as the Windows taskbar. To do so, just right-click the a Putty session's title bar and choose "Full Screen".

To later disable full-screen mode, hold down the CONTROL key, right-click anywhere in the Putty window, and uncheck "Full Screen".

If you wish, you can allow a particular Putty session to support ALT-ENTER to toggle full-screen mode. To do so:

1. Open Putty.

2. Click on the "Session" link.

3. Click "Default Settings", or a defined session, then the "Load" button.

4. Expand the "Window" tree in the left pane.

5. Click "Behavior" in the left pane.

6. Check "Full Screen on Alt-Enter".

7. Click on the "Session" link.

8. Choose the session name you chose in #3, or "Default Settings".

9. Click the "Save" button.

Note that if you change the default settings, you will still need to change the settings for all saved sessions.
