RealPlayer - Don't Send Configuration Information if an Error Occurs

SUMMARY: Help keep from accidentally sending your system information to RealPlayer customer support.

If RealPlayer 10.5 crashes, a dialog box appears where you will have the option to send information to RealPlayer technical support so they can diagnose the problem (if it happens repeatedly with others as well). However, when doing so, you will also be sending configuration information about your system, including how much RAM you have, your web browser, CPU type, etc.

If you don't wish to send this information, do the following:

1. Click "Tools" - "Preferences".

2. When the "Preferences" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click "Connection" in the left pane to expand the tree.

3. Click "Internet / Privacy" underneath "Connection".

4. Uncheck "Send configuration info when connecting to Technical Support".

5. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
