SUMMARY: RegScanner is a freeware utility that lets you scan the Windows Registry for text, allowing all results to be displayed or exported to a file.
Tired of continually pressing F3 to search the Windows registry for multiple results? Wish you could perform a search, walk away from the computer for a few seconds or minutes, and come back with a list of all matches?
RegScanner by NirSoft lets you do this and more. While the Windows Registry Editor lets you limit searches to values, keys, and data, NirSoft lets you perform case sensitive searches, regular expression-based queries, and searches for Unicode strings insides binary values. You can filter results by registration modification date and time, size (in bytes), value type (such as a binary or dword value), and base key. You can even search remote registries if you have Administration rights.

Results can be searched themselves or exported to text, comma-delimited text, XML, or HTML files for further analysis.
