RSS Xpress is a freeware RSS reader for Windows that reads several versions of RSS and Atom feeds. Subscribed feeds can be organized into folders, searched, and filtered so that matching news items can be colored (to stand out) or completely deleted. The feeds list can be imported and exported via OPML format.

RSS Xpress minimizes to the System Tray area of the Windows Taskbar, and can optionally pop-up a notification when new messages are available in your subscribed feeds. You can customize a sound to play when news items arrive, and the pop-up notifier can be changed via skins available on their website.

Other customization options include running RSS Xpress on system startup, adjusting the news refresh frequency, using a proxy server, enabling or disabling security-related features in the RSS preview area and tabbed browser such as JavaScript and ActiveX, and adjusting resource usage.
