Remove History Items After One Day

SUMMARY: For privacy reasons, remove items from Safari's History list after only one day.

Depending on your configuration, when viewing Safari's "History" list of previously-accessed websites, these sites may remain in the list for one month or longer. While this lets you easily find previously-viewed sites without having to remember their web addresses or use search engines to find them, if multiple people access your PC, this may violate your privacy.

You can configure Safari to remove items from the history list after only one day by doing the following:

1. Choose "Edit" - "Preferences".

2. When the preferences dialog box opens click the "General" button.

3. Click on the up-down arrow next to "Remove history items".

4. Check "After one day".

5. Click the "X" at the top-right of the preferences window to close it.
