Safari for Windows - Configure How Links from Applications Are Opened

SUMMARY: Determine whether applications open websites in new Safari windows or new tabs.

Depending on your configuration, when applications request to display web pages, Safari for Windows may open these pages in new browser windows or new tabs in the current browser window. You may want a new window opened to grab your attention, or you may wish new tabs to be opened to help keep the Desktop uncluttered.

1. Choose "Edit" - "Preferences".

2. When the preferences dialog box opens click the "General" button.

3. At the bottom of the dialog box, next to "Open links from applications", click either the "in a new window" or "in a new tab in the current window" radio button.
