With the price of gasoline rising in the USA and most of the rest of the world, it is becoming more important to find lower-cost options to lighten the load on the wallet. Here are a couple of websites that offer volunteer contributions of where low-price gasoline can be found around town:

This site provides information on national gas price high, low, and average amounts. Search for reported gas prices by zip code.

GasBuddy.com - http://www.gasbuddy.com/

This site provides localized gas prices (lowest and highest) for selected cities across the US. Tables include gas price, which service station, what area of town, the time the price was recorded, and which volunteer gave the price. I happened to find more information on this site for my location, but your results may differ.

In the search box, just type in:

gas price [location]

For example:
