View Your Street from the Air

SUMMARY: Browse the world, including your street, from the air.

Terrafly, a public service of Florida International University, offers "bird's view aerial imagery to explore your digital earth". With this website, you can virtually "fly" over many locations on earth to view houses, buildings, major roads, interstates, waterways, and much more.

You can browse through selected areas, enter a town, or drill down to a specific street address. This site can definitely offer you a different view of your world, one that would normally require a helicopter ride or access to satellite imagery to see.

Note that while the site is free to browse, the virtual "flight" time is limited. The site offers paid subscription models allowing for unlimited "flight" for particular amounts of time, plus they sell digital photos, photo prints, art posters, and more.
