If you are using a sheet feeder with your scanner, there are times that you should be careful about using originals of very important documents. What if your important document gets stuck in the feeder or crumpled? For that reason, when scanning very important original documents, strongly consider using the flatbed feature of your scanner. Even if your document is several pages long, it pays to manually place the documents on your scanner without relying on a sheet feeder. Not that all scanner sheet feeders commonly crumple documents, but just in case...
