Spybot Search and Destroy

Show or Hide Desktop, Quick Launch, and Start Menu Shortcuts

SUMMARY: Display or hide various shortcuts to Spybot Search and Destroy on your Windows system.
 
It is easy to show or hide Desktop, Quick Launch, and Start Menu shortcuts to Spybot Search and Destroy. If you find shortcuts useful, add them for quick access to this spyware removal tool. Otherwise, remove shortcuts as desired if you tire of your Desktop or Quick Launch area containing many icons.

To make changes, you must be in Advanced mode. From Spybot Search and Destroy, click "Mode" and select "Advanced Mode" if it is not already selected. Then, click "Settings" and then in the right pane, click "Settings" from there.

When the "Settings" pane appears, look under "Installation". Underneath "Desktop icon" and "Quick launch icon", you should see radio buttons for "No icon", "Default mode", and "Advanced mode". Select the radio button as desired to not show an icon, show an icon for Spybot's default mode, or one for Spybot's advanced features.

Underneath "Startmenu item" you should see check boxes for "Default mode" and "Advanced mode". Check the boxes as desired to provide access to Spybot's default and advanced mode features from the Windows Start menu.
