Spybot Search and Destroy

Keep Certain Cookies from Being Removed

SUMMARY: Prevent useful cookies from accidentally getting removed by Spybot.

Spybot Search and Destroy normally notifies you and asks to delete cookies that it deems contain "usage tracks", or data that can identify you on particular websites. While most of these cookies can be safely removed, getting rid of certain cookies may make it harder for you to access personalization and login features on certain sites. Thus, Spybot Search and Destroy provides an option to ignore the existence of certain cookies.

To enable this feature, you must be in Advanced mode. From Spybot Search and Destroy, click "Mode" and select "Advanced Mode" if it is not already selected. Then, click "Settings" and then in the right pane, click "Ignore Cookies".

A list of cookies in Internet Explorer, Mozilla, and Netscape will appear on screen after a few moments. If you want Spybot Search and Destroy to ignore a cookie, check the box next to the cookie.
