Spybot Search and Destroy - Do Not Remove Usage Tracks with Certain Extensions

SUMMARY: Ignore filenames with certain extensions in Spybot Search and Destroy when deleting usage tracks.

If you set up Spybot Search and Destroy to scan for and remove usage tracks, previously accessed files will be removed from most of the open and save dialog boxes. You may find it more convenient, however, to remember files with certain extensions so they are not removed by the usage tracks scan. You can do so without disabling usage track scanning altogether.

1. Click "Mode", selecting "Advanced Mode".

2. Click "Settings" in the left pane.

3. Click "Ignore file extensions" in the right pane.

4. A list of possible file extensions to ignore will appear.

5. To ignore a file extension (make usage tracks with filename with such extensions invisible to usage track scans), check the box next to the extension to ignore, such as bat, doc, or txt. Repeat as needed.
