| Remove Explorer Context Menu Extension SUMMARY: Remove the "Sweep for Spyware" option Spy Sweeper adds to Windows Explorer. After installing Spy Sweeper, you may notice that if you right-click a folder in Explorer, a new option "Sweep for Spyware" appears. Selecting this option will run Spy Sweeper, scanning the folder's contents for spyware or questionable content. While some find this feature useful, others do not like additions made to their Explorer context menu. Thus, if you want to remove this option:
(Note that these instructions are for version 3.2. Other versions may differ.)
1. Double-click the Spy Sweeper icon in your Windows taskbar. If it is not present, you can click "Spy Sweeper" in your "Programs" or "All Programs" menu.
2. Click the "Options" button on the left.
3. Click the "Program Options" button on top.
4. Uncheck "Add Sweep for Spyware to Windows Explorer Context Menu".
