Spyware and Adware

Use at Least Two Removal Tools

SUMMARY: Why using just one spyware removal tool is not enough to help prevent against infections.

Anti-spyware and adware tools can help protect your computer from displaying random pop-up ads, experiencing system freezes and mysterious Visual C++ Runtime errors, and more, but one program is not enough. To better your chances against spyware and adware, you really need to use at least two removal tools.

New nuisance software is being developed daily, and a particular tool may not have updated definition files for the latest threat. From personal experience, I have seen, on a highly infected system, four different tools report different numbers and types of spyware and adware on the machine. Increase the tools you use and you increase the odds you will not become, or remain, infected.
