Spyware Doctor - Perform a Quick Scan

Instead of having Spyware Doctor perform a full system scan of your machine for spyware, adware, and other malware, you may rather find a Quick Scan more convenient and efficient. A Quick Scan is much faster than a Full System Scan in that it does not scan every file on your hard drive for malware. Instead, it scans areas of your computer that are most likely to be affected, including:

* Running processes
* Hosts file
* Cookies
* System registry
* Favorites
and more.

To perform a Quick Scan:

1. From within Spyware Doctor, click the "Start Scan" button on the left side.

2. Underneath "Select Scan Type", click the "Quick Scan" radio button.

3. Click the "Start Scan" button.

You can stop the scan if it is taking too long by clicking the "Stop Scan" button. After the scan you will see a log of found potential malware and have the opportunity to remove potential threats.
