| Disable Sound Effects on Found Infections SUMMARY: Disable the potentially-jarring sound Spyware Doctor plays when malware is found.
Normally, Spyware Doctor will play a sound effect whenever it performs a scan and finds an 'infection' (note that 'infections' can and do include tracking cookies). This may be useful; you can start a scan, walk away from the computer (since it may take a while) and listen for an alert when it is complete if something potentially wrong was found. However, some people may find this sound a little too jarring. Thus, to disable this sound effect:
1. Click the "Settings" button on the left side of the Spyware Doctor window.
2. Underneath "Pick a category", choose "General settings".
3. Uncheck "Play sound on scan end when infections are found".
4. Click the "Apply" button.
