Spyware Doctor - Deactive OnGuard Tools

While Spyware Doctor contains a suite of OnGuard tools that can help prevent spyware, keyloggers, and other nasties from ever reaching your system in the first place, it is possible that some of these tools may conflict with your computing habits by showing too many alerts or not letting you perform certain tasks.

Also, these background tools can take up a lot of CPU usage. If you have a slow machine, you might find running these processes unbearable. Also, if you have a laptop computer that is running on batteries only, you may wish to disable OnGuard Tools; the more you use your CPU, the faster you drain your laptop's battery.

Obviously, the downside to disabling this feature is that your computer will not be as protected against malware attacks.

To deactivate Spyware Doctor's OnGuard Tools:

1. From within Spyware Doctor, click the "OnGuard" button on the left side.
2. Uncheck "Activate OnGuard".
