Spyware Doctor

Do Not Quarantine Malware - Remove Immediately!

SUMMARY: Learn how to immediately remove malware found by Spyware Doctor from your system without making backups.

Normally, when you have Spyware Doctor remove malware from your system, instead of it removing the malware immediately, it places registry entries, cookies, etc. in quarantine. This way, in case Spyware Doctor accidentally removes items that are actually needed by Windows, such as system files, you can more easily restore these items by clicking the "Click to View Quarantine List" link on Spyware Doctor's main menu.

Some advanced users, however, would rather Spyware Doctor completely clean items from their system rather than having them placed in quarantine. While this is 'working without a net', if you wish to tweak Spyware Doctor so it performs this behavior:

1. Click the "Settings" button on the left side of the Spyware Doctor window.

2. Underneath "Pick a category", choose "General Settings".

3. Uncheck "Quarantine infections before removal".

4. Click the "Apply" button to apply your changes.
