SpywareBlaster - Disable Protection for a Particular Item in Mozilla / Firefox

If running SpywareBlaster keeps certain websites from appearing or operating correctly in Mozilla / Firefox, you can disable the protection for particular items. As of when this tip was written (11/16/2004), SpywareBlaster only protects against certain tracking cookies in Mozilla / Firefox, so if certain websites don't let you login, this may be the culprit.

1. From SpywareBlaster, click the "Protection" tab on the left.

2. Click the "Mozilla/Firefox" tab on top.

3. To disable ALL protection for cookies and spyware, uncheck "Prevent spyware/tracking cookies".

4. Or, to disable protection for a particular item, find the item to ignore in the scroll box underneath "Customize the Block List" and uncheck the box next to the item.

5. Click "Protect Against Checked Items" and/or "Remove Protection for Unchecked Items" to apply your changes.

Note that whenever you update SpywareBlaster, you will have the option to "Enable All Protection". If you do so, all the above changes will be lost. You may wish to first write down someplace which items to ignore, and then after you update SpywareBlaster you can go back and manually ignore those specific entries.
