SpywareBlaster - Disable Protection for a Particular Item in Internet Explorer

If running SpywareBlaster keeps certain websites from appearing or operating correctly in Internet Explorer, you can disable the protection for particular items found on those websites.

1. From SpywareBlaster, click the "Protection" tab on the left.

2. Click the "Internet Explorer" tab on top.

3. To disable ALL protection for Active-X based spyware, dialers, etc, uncheck the appropriate box (NOT RECOMMENDED!)

4. To disable ALL protection for tracking cookies, uncheck "Prevent spyware/tracking cookies".

5. Or, to disable protection for a particular item, find the item to ignore in the scroll box underneath "Customize the Block List" and uncheck the box next to the item.

You may also want to click the "Restricted Sites" tab that prevents certain websites from performing trusted actions. To remove protection for a particular site, uncheck the site underneath "Customize the Block List".

On each screen, you should click "Protect Against Checked Items" and/or "Remove Protection for Unchecked Items" to apply your changes.

Note that whenever you update SpywareBlaster, you will have the option to "Enable All Protection". If you do so, all changes will be lost. You may wish to first write down someplace which items to ignore, and then after you update SpywareBlaster you can go back and manually ignore those specific entries.
