SuperEdi Supports Syntax Highlighting and a Scripting Language
SUMMARY: The SuperEdi text editor supports programmer-centric features plus a scripting language allowing for XML validation, document speaking, and a visual HTML color picker.
SuperEdi is a freeware Windows text editor with multi-document support and multi-level undo and redo. Geared toward programmers, the application includes syntax highlighting for a variety of languages including C#, HTML, PHP, and SQL.
Other features include an integrated FTP browser and uploader, text sorting, find and replace with regular expression support, and bookmarks. Frequently-accessed text clips can be added to the "Tools" - "Clips" menu. Plus, HTML documents can be previewed.
The software also supports a scripting interface with built-in scripts including a visual web color picker, XML validation, and a document text-to-speech reader.
SuperEdi runs on Windows 2000 and above, and a 64-bit version is available. Earlier available versions run on Windows 98, ME, and NT. All are available at the following address:
