| Microsoft Access - It's Clean-Up Time
If you edit a database quite regularly, you might want to compact it occasionally. Select "Tools," then "Database Utilities," then "Compact Database" to compact a database. Besides shrinking the amount of room the database takes on the hard drive, compacting a database may speed up searches. If you're afraid of losing data, backup the database before running the compact utility.
