| AfterDark for Win95-Running DOS Games With this Screensaver
Although After Dark(c) runs very well under Win95, since parts of it are 16-bit, problems can occur when trying to run other 16-bit applications under Win95. Most 16-bit software will run fine in Win95 even when After Dark "kicks in," but for high graphics-intensive or processor-intensive programs (such as game software), it is recommended to disable AfterDark before running the game. Failing to do so may cause the game to crash when the screensaver kicks in, or could cause Win95 to crash after you leave the game (all of this is assuming that you run games from Win95 and not the exclusive "MS-DOS Mode." To do so, simply click on the AfterDark icon if it is installed to be on your system tray, or run AfterDark through the "Start" menu. Move your mouse to the on-off "light switch" on the top-right of the After Dark window that follows and click "Off." Now, minimize After Dark's window.
