Corel Photopaint: Sometimes no Color Correction is Best

When running Corel Photopaint, especially in 256 colors, you may be tempted to turn on color correction to its most accurate state. Surprise! This always does not give you the best results, and on some machines causes editing of 24-32 bit color graphics impossible due to the incorrect color representations being used. If you can't edit such graphics well on a 256 color system, just turn off the color correction and see if that helps.

Note that it is still HEAVILY recommended to only use 24-32 bit color mode on your monitor/graphics card when editing 24-32 bit color graphics, but sometimes this is not always an option.
