SUMMARY: Manually check Trend Micro's website to see if updated definitions for Anti-Spyware exist.
When using Trend Micro Anti-Spyware, it's necessary to regularly check for malware definition updates as new threats to privacy and security are being created all of the time. Without the latest updates, Trend Micro Anti-Spyware may not be able to detect and remove the latest threats.
While Trend Micro Anti-Spyware will periodically automatically check for updated definitions, you may still wish to do so manually in case the automatic updating fails.
1. From Trend Micro Anti-Spyware, click the "About" tab.
2. Underneath "Anti-Spyware Definition Updates", click "Check For Updates".
3. Follow any on-screen prompts, if necessary, or you will be told that your definitions are up-to-date.
Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Trend Micro Anti-Spyware - Check for Definition Updates
