SUMMARY: If the TV Program Guide in Windows Media Center displays channels you cannot get in your area or those you do not care to watch, remove these listings.
When downloading TV Program Guide information for Windows Media Center in Windows Vista, you may notice some channels appearing in the guide that are not actually available in your area. Or, there may be a channel or two that you never actually watch.
You can easily remove channels from the Program Guide, and these channels can be added back later if desired.
1. Select "Tasks" - "settings".
2. When the "settings" page appears, click "TV".
3. When the "settings TV" page appears, click "Guide".
4. When the "settings GUIDE" page appears, click "Edit Channels".
5. The "settings EDIT CHANNELS" page appears with a list of channels available in the program guide.
* Check and uncheck channels to add/remove them from the guide.

* Click "Select All" to select all channels for placement in the guide.
* Click "Clear All" to clear all channel information from the guide.
* Click "Auto Select" to test each channel for signal strength, and uncheck channels with weak signals from this list.
* Click "Restore Default" to restore the visible channels to the default.
* When done, click "Save" to save your settings, or "Cancel" to exit without saving.
