SUMMARY: For business machines, clear the Games option from the Windows Vista Start Menu.
In many Windows Vista configurations you can find an options for "Games" on the Start menu. This provides quick access to default games such as Spider Solitaire, FreeCell, and Minesweeper.
For business-oriented machines you may wish to disable this option from appearing on the Start Menu to discourage its use.
Windows Vista Start Menu
1. Right-click an empty area of the Windows Taskbar and choose "Properties".
2. When the "Taskbar and Start Menu Properties" multi-tabbed dialog box appears, click the "Start Menu" tab.
3. Next to the "Start menu" radio button click the "Customize" button.
4. When the "Customize Start Menu" dialog box appears, scroll down to the "Games" section and click the "Don't display this item" radio button.
5. Click "OK" on the dialog boxes to close them.
Classic Start Menu
1. Click the "Start" button.
2. Click "Programs".
3. Right-click on "Games" from the pop-up menu that follows.
4. Select "Delete".
5. Confirm your decision.
