Winamp 5 - Visualizations - Add Detail to Visualization Full-Screen

SUMMARY: Change the display resolution of Winamp 5's visualizations.

Normally, when you use Winamp 5 visualizations in full-screen mode, Winamp will switch to a 320x200 display resolution with 32k colors. This works great for slower computers; by switching display modes to use fewer pixels, the visualizations will run faster. However, if you have a faster computer, you may want to use your computer's CPU and graphics card display power to show visualizations in finer detail.

1. Assuming you are using the Winamp Modern Skin: from the main Winamp window, select the Video/VIS button.
2. When the visualization appears, right-click and choose "AVS Editor".
3. When the "Winamp AVS Editor" window appears, click "Settings" then "Fullscreen".
4. Underneath "Fullscreen video mode", click the pull-down and choose your desired display mode when going to full-screen.
5. Click the top-right "X" to close the window.

To see how your visualization looks with the finer graphics detail, right-click on your visualization and choose "Fullscreen". Note that on slower computers, you may have to go back and tone the display size down a little for maximum performance.
