Do not Report Anonymous Usage Statistics

SUMMARY: Keep Winamp 5 from reporting usage statistics to a central server.

Normally, Winamp 5, like RealPlayer and other multimedia software packages, report anonymous usage statistics. According to the document, this feature allows "Nullsoft to receive anonymous information about how much Winamp is used." To increase your privacy and not report these statistics, do the following:

1. Right-click the Winamp 5 title bar.
2. Choose "Options" then "Preferences".
3. Click on "General Preferences" in the left pane.
4. Uncheck "Allow Winamp to report anonymous usage statistics".
5. Click "Close" to close the dialog box.
