Winamp 5 - Misc

Remove Duplicate Playlist Entries

SUMMARY: Remove duplicates of entries mistakenly added to Winamp 5's playlist.

After adding many items to your Winamp 5 playlist, you may come across duplicate entries where you accidentally queued up the same folder multiple times for playback. To remove these duplicate entries:

1. Choose the Winamp Modern skin if it is not already selected (Right-click on the Winamp 5 title bar, choose "Skins", then "Winamp Modern").

2. Open up the Winamp5 Playlist Editor if it is not already open (press ALT-E).

3. In the Playlist Editor menu bar, select Playlist then "Remove Duplicate Entries".

Note that this only removes duplicate playlist entries. If you have two multimedia files with exactly the same content but in different directories or with different filenames, Winamp 5 cannot detect these duplicates.
