Winamp 5 - Visual Tweaks

Disable the Spectrum Analyzer and Oscilloscope Visualizations

SUMMARY: Reduce CPU usage by removing the Spectrum Analyzer and Oscilloscope visualizations in Winamp 5.

Depending on your skin, Winamp 5 displays below the song running time a Spectrum Analyzer or Oscilloscope visualization while audio files are playing. These displays change depending on the tones and sounds in a music file.

If you are using a slower computer, you may want to disable these visualizations - especially if you are trying to multitask, such as browsing the web or writing a document while listening to music. Luckily, turning these off is easy. Either:

* Keep clicking on the visualization animation until it stops (clicking toggles between the Analyzer with varying bands, Oscilloscope with different display types, and no visualization at all).

* Right-click on the animation and check "No Visualization".
