Winamp 5 - Visual Tweaks
Remove Tooltips for Classic Skins
SUMMARY: Prevent classic Winamp 5 skins from showing sometimes-annoying tooltips.
When using a classic skin with Winamp 5, tooltips (pop-up notes) appear whenever you hover on any of the control buttons, such as Stop, Pause, or Minimize. While some may find these tooltips useful, other more experienced Winamp 5 users may find them extremely annoying and want to completely remove them. To do so:
1. Right-click the Winamp 5 title bar, choosing "Options" - "Preferences".
2. When the "Winamp Preferences" dialog box appears, click "Classic Skins".
3. In the right pane, select the tab "Classic Skin Options".
4. Uncheck "Display tooltips in Winamp's Main Window".
5. Click "Close" to close the dialog box.
Return to the Winamp 5 - Visual Tweaks page.
