Winamp 5 - Visual Tweaks

Change Skins Directory

SUMMARY: Move Winamp 5 skins to a different drive or partition.

Normally, Winamp 5 skins are placed in the directory c:\program files\Winamp5\Skins. However, if you have two hard drives or hard drive partitions, one for applications and one for data, you might rather have your skins on your data drive to make it easier for you to back up non-application files. If so, do the following to move Winamp 5's skins directory:

1. Right-click on Winamp 5's title bar, choosing "Options" then "Preferences".
2. When the "Winamp Preferences" dialog box appears, click "Skins".
3. Click "Set skins directory".
4. Choose your desired skins directory, then press "OK".
5. Press "Close" to close the "Winamp Preferences" dialog box.
