When Winamp 5 cannot display the full song name in its main window, it scrolls the song name back and forth to display the full name. However, the scrolling speed may be too fast for you to read the full song name. Or, it may be too slow and you'd rather the text move quicker. You can change the text scroll speed doing the following:

1. Right-click on the Winamp 5 title bar, choosing "Options" - "Preferences".

2. When the "Winamp Preferences" dialog box appears, click "Modern Skins" underneath "Skins".

3. In the right pane, click the "General" tab.

4. Underneath "Text Scroll Speed", move the slider to the left to make the song names scroll faster, or to the right to make them scroll slower.

5. Press "Close" to close the "Winamp Preferences" dialog box.
