Winamp 5 - Visual Tweaks
Stop Reformatting Song Names
SUMMARY: Keep Winamp 5 from reformatting your song filenames in the playlist area.
When displaying song names in the playlist, Winamp 5 will normally attempt to reformat multimedia file names so that instead of the filenames being shown, the artist name then the song name will be visible. Many people like this reformatting, but in case you find it annoying in that it makes it harder to find a particular file referenced in the playlist, do the following:
1. Right-click on the Winamp 5 title bar, choosing "Options" - "Preferences".
2. When the "Preferences" dialog appears, click "Titles" underneath "General Preferences".
3. Uncheck "Use advanced title formatting when possible".
4. Click "Close" to close the dialog box.
Return to the Winamp 5 - Visual Tweaks page.
