Winamp 5 - Visual Tweaks

Skin the 'Jump to File' Dialog

SUMMARY: Now you can even skin Winamp 5's dialog when searching for files in your multimedia playlist.

While Winamp 5's skins modify the look and feel of most windows, the 'Jump to File' dialog (press 'J' when Winamp 5 is focused) is normally displayed using the standard bland Windows colors. However, there is a tweak you can perform to skin this dialog based on the current Winamp style. It may not work well with all skins, but it does look good with the standard Modern Skin, so feel free to experiment.

1. Right-click on the Winamp 5 title bar, choosing "Options" - "Preferences".

2. When the "Preferences" dialog appears, click "Jump To File" underneath "General Preferences".

3. Click the "Display" tab.

4. Check "Skin 'Jump to file' using the current Winamp style".

5. Press "Close" to close the dialog box.

Now, try it out by pressing "J" when Winamp is focused.
