If you have difficulty typing, you may have gotten in situations where you pressed a key down, not lifted your finger up in time, and had the key repeat. This can get quite annoying, so here's a way to prevent key repeating from occurring unless you leave your finger on a key for over a second.
1. Click "Start" - "Settings" - "Control Panel".
2. Double-click "Keyboard" in the "Control Panel" dialog box.
3. On the "Keyboard Properties" multi-tabbed dialog box that appears, select the "Speed" tab.
4. Now, click and hold the slider thumb underneath "Repeat delay" and move it all the way to the left "Long".
5. Do the same for the "Repeat rate", moving the thumb to the left towards "Slow".
6. Click "OK" to close the dialog box.
