SUMMARY: Two ways to add icons to Windows Vista's Quick Launch icon area.
Windows Vista's Quick Launch toolbar provides quick access to frequently-used applications, which can include your web browser, word processor, e-mail program, and more.
After increasing the size of the Quick Launch area, how can you add your own programs to it? Here are two ways:
1. Right-click and drag a program or program shortcut from the Desktop or Explorer to the Quick Launch area and choose "Create Shortcuts Here".
2. An even easier way is to right-click a program or program shortcut from Desktop or Explorer and choose "Add to Quick Launch" from the popup menu that follows.
Press the "print" button on your browser or select "File" - "Print" to print this tip. Then, return to Windows Vista - Start Menu - Taskbar - Toolbars - Add an Item to the Quick Launch Toolbar
